As soon as Ice-Bat heard that I was heading to America he booked his place in my suitcase so that he could be over here and watch the conference finals of the Stanley Cup live instead of having to settle for checking out a text style update on the games.
He always says that ice hockey is a game that needs the action to make it as exciting as it should be, and having played for many years myself I can fully understand his thought process.
He's currently rooting for Chicago, and keeps making fun that my Redwings are already gone. Tonight he's been over the moon after the 4-2 win by the Blackhawks tonight at San Jose.
