After leaving Aachen early on Monday morning and catching our first flight from Dusseldorf to O'Hare airport in Chicago, Wedgie was already getting excited about what we would get for dinner tonight. With some of the European airspace being closed down again by volcanic ash we were able to fly, but had to take quite a detour from the normal path to the USA.

Unfortunately the ATM's were down in the airport concourse we were waiting in for our connection to Portland, Oregon - so Wedgie didn't get the chance to sample a Chicago pizza while in Chicago.

22.5hrs after we left home in Aachen we're now checked into the hotel and Wedgie quickly drew my attention to the room service card with some of the local restaurants which will deliver.

He's decided on a small pizza with Pepperoni and Sausage, whereas I'm heading straight to bed now as I've a busy day of work ahead tomorrow.
