Uglyworld #805 - The End Of Summer (274-365)

Project 365 - Image 274/365

Cinko has been quite down this week, and it took until this evening for the reason behind his glumness to be revealed to everyone else.

"I hates it when is the ends of summers", he explained to over the phone to Wage who was listening intently in Aachen.

"One days I was lyings by the swimmings pools, not to closes though as you knows I don't likes waters too muches, and then the next days all I can sees is rain outsides the hotels room windows, I thinks this is poo, you hears me, poo!".

Wage seemed to be agreeing with Cinko's prognosis on it all, and even a little concerned when Cinko explained to him, "I has even gots some tannings oil lefts, whats the hell is I supposeds to do with it nows, when there is no suns any mores?".

Babo is hopeful that the coming week will spring some nice sunny weather on Hillsboro to help bring Cinko back on track again, fingers crossed!

Uglyworld #804 - A Real Dogs Dinner (273-365)

Project 365 - Image 273/365

Most (if not all) of you will have heard the phrase "you've made a real dogs dinner of that" when you or someone around you has made a real mess of something.

However in this case there's no mess at all, only 4 hungry dogs about to make short work of their dinner.

Uglyworld #803 - "Anythings For Laundries?" (272-365)

Project 365 - Image 272/365

This evening when I returned from shooting some night shots around the city in Portland Cinko was waiting for me.

"Has you anythings for laundries?", he asked to which I told him that I had a whole week of dirty clothes needing done.

Secretly I know the only reason he asked about this is because he wants to have his jacket washed too.

Uglyworld #802 - "Pamperings Sessions" (271-365)

Project 365 - Image 271/365

As I was setting off for work this morning (after a 19 hour working day yesterday) Big Toe was preparing himself for what he referred to as a "pamperings sessions".

Lucky for him...

Uglyworld #801 - Sniffing The Flowers (270-365)

Project 365 - Image 270/365

Poe came with me over to the hotel reception to organise extending my stay for a while longer, and spent almost the whole time sniffing the flowers which lay on the main reception desk.

"Can I stays here a little longers" he asked once I was finished organising the room extension. A nod from the receptionist was all he needed to get back to his sniffing.

I think the poor little guy is missing the great summer weather already and it's only just kicking into autumn now...

Uglyworld #800 - Visiting The State Capitol Building (269-365)

Project 365 - Image 269/365

With us reaching the milestone of the 800th image in my "Adventures In Uglyworld" set, the gang of adventurers decided that it would be cool to celebrate the event with a group shot.

Turtle, Trunko, Ice-Bat, Babo and Ox all lined up in front of the State Capitol building in Salem, Oregon to have their picture taken, with the only one missing from the group being Cinko who had been car sick almost the whole way home from Boiler Bay where we made him pose for photographs by the huge waves which crashed against the rocks.

I had hoped to be able to say that this time next week I'd already be back in Aachen with Mireille too, but it's looking like I'm going to end up being extended even longer out here in Oregon! Hopefully I'll know for definite by the of Monday as it's such a pain trying to make any kind of plans at all when you're not sure where you're going to be.

Uglyworld #799 - Squirrelling Around

After being around when Cinko met Chipper, Turtle was so happy to make a new friend of his own today.

This is "Steve", and obviously he's a squirrel. Turtle shared some of his cookies with Steve as they sat on the edge of the cliffs near the Devils Punchbowl watching whales passing by.

Uglyworld #798 - The Devils Punch Bowl

Finally it was time to meet the devil for Ice-Bat, so much so that the little guy was really afraid and chose to hide behind poles most of the time.

"If you see's him, tells me ok", he said to me. I tried to explain to him for almost 20 minutes that there was no real "devil" here, and that it was only the name which had been given to the huge cauldron in the rock.

Eventually Icy overcame his fear and stood watching over the Devils Punchbowl as the tide through huge waves in through the gap in the cliff face and sometimes up and over the cliff itself.

Uglyworld #797 - Tells Me When It's Overs

Much like his good friend Chunky back in the Netherlands, Cinko is extremely afraid of water, even more so when it's cold and there's lots of it.

Getting him to pose by the awesome rocks and waves at Boiler Bay was no easy task. As he stood holding tightly to the post he kept repeating, "Tells me when it's overs" over and over to try and get me to hurry up with his photograph.

Of course when he returns to Germany I'm sure he'll be boasting to everyone else that he wasn't scared at all!

He even managed to spot his first whale ever, which was lurking around 150 metres out from the rocks no doubt making full use of the ocean current bringing lots of fish in for him to eat.

Uglyworld #796 - I Loves The Colours

Trunko has got so used to seeing red fire hydrants while he's been in America that he was amazed to find this one painted yellow.

"I loves the colours, is the firsts one I see's in awesome yellows!" he explained to everyone who stood around wondering what the excitement was all about.

Uglyworld #795 - Crab Food

As he posed for this photograph at Lincoln City, Turtle didn't seem to be aware of the fact that he could become crab food any second...

Uglyworld #794 - Flying Froggies

As lunchtime drew closer we parked up at one of the beach carparks of Lincoln City, Babo made a bee-line straight for the beach shouting "Flying froggies".

Cinko offered a possible explanation, "I thinks he is losings his minds". It wasn't until the rest of us made it to the side of the beach we realised what Babo had been talking about!

Uglyworld #793 - An Appointment With The Devil

As we reached the seaside village of Garibaldi Ice-Bat kept drawing our attention to the time, "You does realises that I has an appointments with the Devils, yes?".

It was clear that the little guy was getting a little anxious about what would transpire at the Devil's Punchbowl later in the day, but thankfully handing him a cookie seemed to take his mind off of things for a while.

Uglyworld #792 - Trunko at Rockaway Beach

After Trunko had helped me spot "Hobo Matt" at the Stonehenge Memorial during our daytrip to Mount Adams, he had been completely mesmerised by his daily blog which detailed his trip all the way from Rockaway, New York to Rockaway Beach, Oregon.

As we drove through the small coastal village of Rockaway Beach Trunko suddenly realised that this was the final stop of Matt's journey, "This is where all finished, and he runned into the oceans".

Without further ado Trunko went sprinting down the beach and into the water of the Pacific which lay ahead, "Flippin' hecks, the waters is freezings" he screamed as he ran back in the opposite direction.

Uglyworld #791 - Terrifics Pacifics

Ox couldn't believe our luck with the weather, as every single time we've been over to the coast it's been completely grey and every few minutes you have to deal with an onslaught of rain.

Ox told me on Friday that the weather forecast said "partly cloudies, with clouds cover of 60 percentagies", but as you can see there was not a single cloud in the sky, and only the morning mist being slowly burnt off by the warm autumn sun.

Normally when taking pics of the Uglies you have to shout "cookies" much in the same way that us humans say "cheese", but in this instance Ox shouted "Terrifics Pacifics" in honour of the good weather.

Saturday 25 September 2010

Uglyworld #790 - "Looks, It's Haystacks Rock"

Cinko and Turtle were out of the car like nobody's business this morning literally as soon as I pulled the parking brake on.

They were already down on the sand of Cannon Beach as I tried to catch up with them, "Looks, it's Haystacks Rock" shouted Cinko as he ran towards it, "Is where they makes the Goonies film that we likes to watch!".

Sure enough Turtle agreed with Cinko's comment and said that it was "bangs on the monies", it turns out that The Goonies film is known not only here on earth but throughout the universe!

Uglyworld #789 - Memorising the Plan (268-365)

Project 365 - Image 268/365

Ice-Bat was busy on the laptop this evening memorising all of the stops that Turtle put together for tomorrow's trip to the Pacific coast.

After his swim in Devil's Lake at Deschultes National Park he's very interested in what the Devil's Punchbowl will have in store for us.

Thursday 23 September 2010

Uglyworld #788 - "Who Does This Belongs To?" (267-365)

Project 365 - Image 267/365

Big Toe was wandering around the hotel room tonight, quite annoyed at the fact that his planned stroll around one of the local parks had been washed out thanks to the downpours which had been on the go non-stop all day.

"Who does this belongs to?" he shouted from the kitchen while pulling himself back up onto his feet.

"I fallsed overs this, what a sillys place to leaves something lyings around!".

None of the other guys were able to shed any light on the origins of the strange bowl and bone which lay inside of it.

Wednesday 22 September 2010

Uglyworld #787 - Turtle's Treat

No sooner had I handed a twenty dollar bill over to turtle so that he could head off for his dinner, than I found this image being sent through to me from Marie Callenders where he was just about to tuck into a cheese and bacon burger...

He accompanied the photo with the text, "Checks out what I buys for dinners with my twenties spot, awesomes isn'ts it, bet you wishes you had ones too!"

He was right, so off I went to meet him there and get one all for myself too!

Uglyworld #786 - Cash Injection Required (266-365)

Project 365 - Image 266/365

This evening after work I opened my wallet to give Turtle some cash so that he could head out for his dinner this evening, and discovered it was completely empty other than a single dollar bill.

Turtle was over the moon when I jumped into the car with him and headed to one of the local ATM's to top up my wallet with another injection of cash.

Uglyworld #785 - Who, Me's? (264-365)

Project 365 - Image 264/365

This evening I was wondering where Poe had dissappeared to until I realised the door to the freezer was lying wide open.

As I peered around the edge of the door I found Poe standing in front of the new tub of mint chocolate chip ice-cream rubbing his belly, and asked him what he was up to.

"Who, Me's?" he answered, "Nothings, I is just wandering arounds, minding my own businesses".

When asked if he was planning on attacking the tub of ice-cream behind him replied, "Ice-cream, behinds me, reallies?".

His act wasn't convincing anyone...and with 11 days left to go until we hopefully fly home it would appear I'm going to have to keep a close eye on my remaining ice-cream supply in the freezer too!

Monday 20 September 2010

Uglyworld #784 - Mr Recharger (263-365)

Project 365 - Image 263/365

Trunko has been nicknamed "Mr Recharger" of late as he's got so good at taking my camera, blackberry and laptop and getting them all on charge as I flop off of my feet and into bed after each and every long, weary day of work.

If it wasn't for these little guys I think I'd be running on empty myself by now ;)

Trunko wanted to add, "We goes homes in 12 daysies, woohoo's!".

Sunday 19 September 2010

Uglyworld #783 - The Lookout Turrets (262-365)

Project 365 - Image 262/365

After cinko's talk of zombie's my hotel room has been tightly gripped by what can only be described as mass hysteria, with almost all of the little guys only to be found hiding in cupboards, behind the pillows on the bed or trying to sneak into my pockets when I least expect them to.

Babo decided this evening that enough was enough and that he had to take charge of the situation, so he ordered Trunko to get behind the controls of his Uglybot and patrol the room.

Meanwhile Babo took it upon himself to jump into his "lookout turrets" on the desk near the door to the room. He said, "From heres I has a perfects vantage points to watches everythings, so when there is signs of any vampires or other evils stuff then I can shouts to Trunko to gets the Uglybot over to deals with them".

"And as we has 13 daysies left before we flies back to Germanies, I wants to makes sure that any bad lucks is only on the zombies and nots us!".

Fantastic plan once again by the mastermind that is Babo, and hopefully it'll mean a good nights sleep for everyone else tonight too while he and Trunko keep watch!

Uglyworld #782 - Zombies (261-365)

Project 365 - Image 261/365

After I finally finished work today (yes it's a Saturday and I ended up in work yet again) Cinko was straight on my case about what the plans for Saturday night were.

"Baz, can we goes to the cinemas, there is the news residents evils film outs!", he asked.

Now I already know that Cinko is a massive Milla Jovovich fan, and there's nothing he likes more than when she's tackling zombies galore in the Resident Evil films.

"This latests one is even mores special, as it is in 3-Dee's, what mores could you asks for, almosts likes having real lifes zombies in fronts of you!".

So after dinner off we went to the cinema to see the new "Resident Evil - Afterlife" film in the series.

Since we arrived back at the hotel Cinko has been walking around the room hugging the walls with his jacket on (it's been raining heavily all week), incase of any random zombie attacks while asking me to keep an eye out for Alice who should be along to help out any time.

Uglyworld #781 - Is It Trues? (260-365)

Project 365 - Image 260/365

Ox got wind (not literally) that there was a good chance that we may get to fly back home to Germany in 2-3 weeks time, and has suddenly managed to whip the entire gang here in Oregon into a crazed frenzy.

The hard part is I've still got to break the news to them that I'm going to have to work right through the weekends too in order for us to have any chance of making it home in the next few weeks.

Ox is currently standing on my work laptop in front of the others counting how many days are left until we hopefully jump on a big metal budgie back over the Atlantic Ocean.

"I counteds 15 daysies, wooohooo's 15 daysies and we gets to goes homes to highlandmonkeys cookies".

I get the feeling the next 2 weeks will end up involving somewhat of a countdown....I'm personally just dying to get home and get a rest from the insane madness of the last two months out here working stupidly long hours week after week...

Uglyworld #780 - Here You Goes (259-365)

Project 365 - Image 259/365

Not only have the little guys been helping me out with my expenses, making me tasty breakfasts etc, here you can see how little Babo has been greeting me each night after work.

Tonight he decided to choose a bottle of Becks as my "beers refresherments" after dinner. The little guy sure does know how to make several weeks extension to my stay in Oregon go much easier, and he only asks for a 25% share of any crates of beer I buy, which isn't too bad a deal at all for the service he provides.

Wednesday 15 September 2010

Uglyworld #779 - Useless Pennies (258-365)

Project 365 - Image 258/365

Uglyworm is struggling to work out the reason for still having a 1 cent coin when they're practically unusable over here in America.

He's currently trying to work out what the best use for them would be, anyone have any ideas?

Tuesday 14 September 2010

Uglyworld #778 - Cinko's Recreation Pass (257-365)

Project 365 - Image 257/365

Cinko wanted to show off his National Forest Recreation Pass from last Saturday when we visited Newberry National Volcanic Monument as part of our 9/11 rememberence weekend.

Cinko has already promised Wage, Babo and all the other uglies back in Germany that he'll bring back the pass as a memento of his trip to Oregon this year.

Monday 13 September 2010

Uglyworld #777 - Ugly Accountants (256-365)

Project 365 - Image 256/365

One of the most annoying things when I'm travelling with work is having to keep track of all my expenses so that I can claim them back.

This is where I'm lucky to have a team of Ugly Accountants to help out - they get the job done in no time at all...

Uglyworld #776 - This Thing Drives Me Nuts (255-365)

Project 365 - Image 255/365

Ice-Bat declared war on my work Blackberry tonight after it spoiled our chance of doing anything "nices and relaxings" on Sunday due to having to head onsite to the customer and make sure issues were resolved before Monday morning.

He's warned me that it will be hidden next Friday evening and that I won't get it back until the following Monday morning when it's time to head out the door to work.

I know he's only looking after my health and trying to keep my sanity in check, so of course I'm going to let him steal it ;)

Uglyworld #775 - It's A Long Ways Down

Poe stood on the top of the cliff on the East side of the canyon looking downwards.

"Wow, it's a long ways down" he exclaimed before jumping off the cliff and free-falling until a few inches above the surface of the water at which stage he flew over to the shore and landed.

"Woooohoooo, that was a tops buzz!" he shouted at the top of his voice.

Sunday 12 September 2010

Uglyworld #773 - Looks How Steeps The Cliffs Is

Turtle directed us to The Cove Palisades State Park once we left Smith Rock, and the car was filled with questions about what they would find when they arrived.

Trunko mistakenly heard "cave" instead of "cove" and suggested bears and possibly even dragons awaited their arrival.

Thankfully Babo soon put him straight and within no time we arrived at the State Park.

Cinko stood at the edge of the viewing area and exclaimed, "Holy molies, looks how steeps the cliffs is!". The Cove Palisades State Park for all intents and purposes is a huge canyon through which a large river runs.

Uglyworld #772 - Turtle at Smith Rock

While Babo was off scaling the cliff face of Smith Rock and Rolf was introducing himself to friendly lizards Turtle was in search of a good spot to have his picture taken with the highest point of the rock visible behind him.

Uglyworld #771 - Exploring The Wilderness (255/365)

Project 365 - Image 255/365

While Babo was busy scaling the cliff-face of Smith Rock, Rolf was off doing some exploration of his own. He had overheard people talking in the car park that they had seen a Golden Eagle nest a little distance from one of the trails, so he set off as fast as his little legs could carry him to find one for himself to say hello to.

Unfortunately he didn't manage to find any Eagles, but did explain to us later that he had managed to meet several lizards along his travels.

Uglyworld #770 - Babo Climbs Smith Rock

Once everyone was back in the car and the doors were all closed Turtle (who was sitting in the co-pilot seat for the day said, "Okays, did everyone enjoys the volcano?" to which there was an almighty roar from the back seat.

"So, as we has been very highs up today, I was thinkings we could enjoys more high stuffs, what you all thinks?". Another roar of appreciation from the back seat of the car and Turtle entered the location of Smith Rock into the navigation system.

"Smiths Rocks is one of the bestest places to learns to rock climbs out heres, out of nowheres a reallys high cliff appears", he told the rest as we came to a stop in the car park of Smith Rock State Park.

It turns out that Babo was a very keen rock climber back on Uglyworld, so much so that I had a hard time keeping up with him as he scaled the sheer cliff face of Smith Rock without any safety gear at all. He did add, "When you is not experts then you musts always uses safety gears, as climbing cliffs like this is dangerouses".

Uglyworld #769 - On The Pier At East Lake

Turtle had promised the editor of Turtle Time Magazine back on Uglyworld several photographs and stories of him exploring the area inside the crater of Newberry Volcano, so once everyone was ready to leave the Obsidian Flow he directed us to our final stop of this stage of our time in the volcano.

"Okays, we musts makes one final stops before we leaves, drives a little more Easts and we will finds the shores of the seconds lake insides the crater, Easts Lake".

Here's the little guy standing on the jetty with East Lake behind him, once he and the rest of the gang had explored a little he beckoned us all back to the car to share our next destination.

Uglyworld #768 - It IS Like Dark Glass!

As Trunko walked through the mass of volanic stones that covered so much of the landscape at Newberry Volcano he kept searching for a piece of Obsidian Rock that had been broken into smaller pieces, so that he could check for himself if Babo's knowledge was once again correct (as it always is).

Eventually near a viewpoint over the top of the flow itself he found a piece of Obsidian Rock that had been broken into smaller pieces and started holding it up to the sun to check if it was in fact see-through.

"Wowzers, it IS like darks glass!" he exclaimed to which all the other guys came over to check it out for themselves too, with Babo nodding his head slowly in a "told you so" movement.

Uglyworld #767 - This Is Obsidians Rocks

After making our way back down Paulina Peak Turtle's daytrip plan directed us over to the Obsidian flow, which Babo had somehow not noticed from up above.

"Obsidians, reallies?" he asked as we came to a stop in the nearby carpark, "I hasn't seens anythings obsidians since I leaved Uglyworld".

Turtle nodded his head and explained that the very reason for him adding this stop to the trip was for Babo to pay the massive flow a visit.

As we walked through the trail that wound it's way through the massive collection of volcanic rocks Babo would stop and explain to everyone else what variant they were, in this case he explained Obsidian Rocks.

"Because lavas cool and crystallizes rapidlys, it is fine graineds. If the coolings has been so rapids as to prevents the formations of even smalls crystals after extrusion happens, the resulting rocks may be's mostly glass (such as the rocks known as obsidians). If the coolings of the lavas happeneds more slowlies, the rocks would be's more coarse-graineds."

Uglyworld #766 - Turtle Admires The Obsidian Flow

From the dizzy heights of Paulina Peak Turtle explained that not only can you find amazing views of the waters of Paulina and East Lakes which lie inside the crater of Newberry volcano, but also a massive area of volcanic rocks known as an "Obsidian Flow".

I'll let Turtle explain, "When there is eruptions, and magmas and stuffs comes up it sometimes blows alls of it's insides out quicklies, and other times it will flows out, this second thing is what happens here, the rocks is many different kinds of volcanic rocks, we will investigated them more laters today".

More to come tomorrow once we've all had some sleep...

Uglyworld #765 - Cinko at Paulina Peak

While everyone else was congratulating Poe on flying all the way up to the peak Cinko was off "trying to sees if Chipper is heres".

Unfortunately Chipper must have been away enjoying the late summer sunshine somewhere else, but Cinko stumbled on something even better - a marker placed on top of a rock formation above the carpark where everyone else stood with Poe.

"Guys, comes here quicks, I finds a marker than means we can stands even highers, we can stands 8000 feets high ups!!!".

Uglyworld #764 - Poe At The Peak

As Ox was jumping out of the car at Paulina Lake, Poe was already flying off into the blue sky above us in search of the highest point of Mayberry Volcano, Paulina Peak.

By the time the rest of us arrived at the carpark up on top of the high cliffs Poe had just managed to get his breath back and stood proudly in front of the sign showing that he had managed to fly up to a height of 7,984 feet.

Uglyworld #763 - Ox at Paulina Lake

When we drove into the crater of Newberry Volcano Ox asked me to drop him off at the edge of Paulina Lake so that he could spent some time relaxing at the edge of the Lake watching the people fishing.

Saturday 11 September 2010

Uglyworld #762 - Turtle's Latest Trip Begins

This morning as we all jumped into the car Turtle shared the first stop of his latest daytrip plan with us, leading us a little over 4 hours South East to Newberry Crater where our fun-filled day would start.

Here you can see Turtle posing by the tumbling water of Paulina Falls inside the confines of Newberry Volcanic Monument State Park, which is one of the most active volcano's in Oregon as it has been erupted at least once every thousand years.

He's spent the evening putting together his accompanying story for a forthcoming issue of Turtle Time Magazine, which he's promised he'll share details of with everyone on here once it goes into print.

Uglyworld #761 - Remembering (254-365)

Project 365 - Image 254/365

Rolf and Ice-Bat have been watching TV shows pretty much all evening about the 9-11 disaster in New York 9 years ago.

Rolf explained that he was munching on some cookie crumbs back on Uglyworld when he heard about the disaster on one of the intergalactic tv channels.

Icy kept himself cuddled into Rolf in silence as they continued to watch the stories and events that occurred that day.

Uglyworld #760 - Plan-tastic (253-365)

Project 365 - Image 253/365

After allowing me to use my "weekend of relaxation" pass last weekend Trunko and Turtle have been feverishly working out where they would like me to take them this coming Saturday.

Babo has already deemed that Sundays from now until I get home are classed as rest days where I'm not allowed to do anything except have a long lie and sit around with my feet up - I didn't dare argue with him on that one for several reasons you can no doubt imagine.

Turtle has aspirations for me to drive him South East to the plateau's and steep cliffs which can be found to the east of the Oregonian city of Bend (which he already passed through several weeks ago when visiting the 3 Sisters mountains and Deschutes National Park).

Trunko would rather head due West and then a little North to visit Astoria and on to the coastline at the Pacific Ocean.

I've decided to let them debate it out amongst themselves and let me know the winning destination.

Uglyworld #759 - Champion Of Good Causes (252-365)

Project 365 - Image 252/365

Peaco has a habit of jumping on pretty much any eco bandwagon that decides to roll through whichever town we're staying in at the time.

Tonight in the hotel room he discovered the little notice which tries to get guests to re-use their towels instead of using a new one everyday and for once he wasn't too hell-bent on making sure everyone else toe'd the line.

"I believes whats the sign tells us, buts back on Uglyworld we has no towels, we simply rubs ourselves down with leftover cookie crumbles, and if any full cookies is lefts, we eats thems".

Everyday's a school day with these little guys around...

Uglyworld #758 - Ox and Ice-Bat's Secret Revealed (251-365)

Project 365 - Image 251/365

It's a question pondered by people from all walks of life all over the world, why does Ox have one eye closed all the time.

Thanks to new technology on Uglyworld it's been possible for the very first time to be able to go back in time by means of a slow-mo camera and check out the moment that changed Ox forever.

It turns out he had been making fun of Ice-Bat for months at the fact that he never seemed to be able to acquire a sun tan, and after many, many, many warnings to back off Ice-Bat finally flipped out and poked Ox in his left eye with a point stick (It does look like a needle, but Ice-Bat explained that there's no such things as needles on Uglyworld, only pointy sticks).

So there you have it, thanks to the slow-mo time jumping camera we've finally been able to lie this one to rest once and for all.

Uglyworld #757 - Are You Crazies? (250-365)

Project 365 - Image 250/365

With today being not only Labor Day in America but us also reaching day 250 out of this years 365 project Cinko decided to take Doug outside for some much needed air and exercise.

Everything was going to plan until Cinko found a baseball lying in the grass and decided to make Doug go fetch it for him.

Doug's reply, "Narrrrr, ruff, yip, yip, grrrrrrrr!" which translated into English meant "Are you crazies, looks at the sizes of it!".

Doug's retort didn't go down too well with Cinko who stormed off muttering to himself, "Why does everyones have to finds a problems with things, I just tries to makes everyone have funs!".

Sunday 5 September 2010

Uglyworld #756 - Secrets Of An Ugly Marine (249-365)

Project 365 - Image 249/365

This evening Babo decided that it was time to put on a masterclass in self defence for everyone to watch and enjoy.

"You musts all remembers that having to fights is never a goods thing, but whens you has no other options then is always goods to knows how to defends yourselfs", Babo explained before asking for someone to be the would-be assailant for his demonstration.

Peaco was pushed forward towards Babo by Ice-Bat and Ralf who quickly retreated back to the safety of the back wall where Trunko and Poe stood excitedly.

Babo gave everyone a quick overview of what he was about to demonstrate, "The arts of being ables to quickly disables an attacker is alls about surprises and believes me when I tells you this - there is no biggers surprises that when you can removes an arm that they didn't knows they hads!".

Babo gestured to Peaco to come at him as quickly as he possibly could, Peaco was approaching almost like lightning yet Babo was able to quickly side-step, grab the "non-existent" arm and pluck it away from Peaco who tumbled to the floor in astonishment.

Peaco stared towards the pink arm Babo was holding tightly in his grasp, partially amazed at the fact firstly that Babo was able to move so fast, and secondly coupled with his thoughts of where the hell the arm had come from in the first place.

Babo's first lesson went down a treat with everyone else who whooped and cheered with excitement as Babo helped Peaco back to his feet.
