Uglyworld #332 - Wedgehead Celebrates Fettdonnerstag (42-365)

Project 365 - Image 42/365

Today is the day known as Fettdonnerstag in Germany, which is the signal for several days of craziness to begin, with today being the designated "ladies day" of the final few days of Karneval. Today you are best not wearing a tie as one of the more common things to find is a women bearing scissors who will scalp your tie in a millisecond. On the plus side the food of choice is the famous "berliner" - what I would easily explain as a doughnut filled with marmalade (or if you're the unfortunate one in the group - some mustard!!!)

Karneval season actually kicks off in Germany on the 11th of the 11th (November) at 11:11, but the grand parades take place this coming Monday (Rosenmontag) before the Karneval season draws to a close for another year on Wednesday (Ash Wednesday).

Wedgehead decided that it would be a good idea to take some chocolate out with him today, in the event some "crazy women" tried to attack him he could then fend them off with chocolatey treats. I'm not quite sure it will work, but hey - we all love a trier!!!
