"Helps, I see'd something", echo'd out of the kitchen in the hotel room from Ox.
Almost immediately everyone came running to see what all the fuss was about, but alas there was nothing to see other than the fact that whatever Ox had spotted had caused an almost unheard of thing to happen - it managed to scare the earmuffs clean off of Ox's head!
Ox maintained that there was something there only a few seconds before and when Babo asked, "Was it likes the shapes of a cat?" Ox answered, "No, it was smalls and purple colours".
Everyone appears to be on an even higher level of alert now after rumours of the cat visiting yesterday and now with Ox's sightings today.
If I had to name my hotel room using one word right now, that word would be TENSION!

Uglyworld #700 - My Plan Doesn'ts Seems To Work (215-365)

After formulating his "Altoids" masterplan to catch the cat which invaded our hotel room at the weekend, Babo was more than a little concerned that his approach wasn't paying any dividends.
Rolf joined him near the pile of Altoids which they had cunningly laid on one of the tables in the hotel room, along with a line of the mints leading up to the main "stockpile". The stockpile was ground zero for their capture plan and as such it was being monitored by at least one ugly at a time, with them rotating the sentry duty through everyone in 3-hour shifts.
Babo told Rolf, "I just don'ts understands it Rolf, my plan doesn'ts seems to work, and is a well knowns fact that cats and curiositys has many links, maybe I is being too impatients and we must just waits longers!".
Rolf barked in agreement, and the pair then monitored the stockpile of Altoids for the rest of their shift.
Will the cat show it's face, will the little guys manage to catch it...only time will tell.

Uglyworld #699 - Curiosity (214-365)

Today Babo informed me of a somewhat worrying situation which developed over the weekend while the rest of us were away exploring Crater Lake, I'd better let Babo explain it himself...
"Wells you sees, the rests of us was sittings watching some tv's and there was a knocks at the door, so I goes overs to answers it and whens the door is onlys a tiny bits open a cat runs intos our room!".
Now you see why I wanted Babo to explain it, as things always seem to make more sense when he tells them. Anyway, according to Babo the cat ran around like crazy in the hotel room and then sprinted straight back out the door.
Babo decided that the cat needed to be caught, so today he picked up a tin of Altoids at the local supermarket, "You can sees what my plans is cants you?". Unfortunately I couldn't see it so I had him explain it a little more.
"Altoids is well knowns for beings MEGA minty, ands they always says 'curiously' in their advertisings slogans, so I wants to use the logic of curiousity catched the cat".
I loved the explanation so much that I didn't even point out that Babo got the saying a little bit wrong, so we'll see how his plan goes this week hopefully.
Uglyworld #698 - The Weekend Traveller
This weekend marked Trunko's first big adventure with me, and what a first adventure it was - the sheer size of Crater Lake is immense, and I have no idea how Trunko is ever going to be able to top this trip.
"I really loves this trip we makes, it was awesomes, reallys, I can't waits for wherevers we visits nexts", he told me on the way home while chatting away about just how steep some of the cliffs were and how blue the water in the lake was.
I just hope I'm able to find somewhere even half as amazing as Crater Lake to keep Trunko smiling.

After Chipper managed to sneak up behind Cinko without him noticing, Cinko decided that the only way to see him again would be to sacrifice some more of the snickeroonie cookie that he had bought earlier in the day.
Almost immediately Chipper was back over munching down the chunks of cookie right in front of Cinko, and Chipper seemed to have finally got used to being around the little guy as Cinko was able to move around and offer his new friend pieces of cookie from his own flipper.

After Chipper munched down the cookie crumbs which Cinko left lying around for him he disappeared off into the bushes at which point Cinko was able to get a welcome breather for a few seconds.
"Can you see's him" he asked me, to which I just "couldn't" reply without risk of scaring Chipper off again, so I maintained my silence but tried to alert Cinko of Chippers prescence by motioning my eyes behind him.
Of course Cinko was totally oblivious to my silent signalling and just kept asking if I had any idea where Chipper was!

As Chipper munched down another lump of the tasty "snickeroonie" cookie Cinko tried his best to remember the rules I taught him for getting his picture taken with Cinko:-
Stay still
Don't make sudden eye movements
Pretend you're a statue
...and most importantly...
Don't eat the cookie yourself!
That last rule was really hard for Cinko to keep!

Eventually Chipper caught the scent of the tasty "snickeroonie" cookie which Cinko had laid out as bait, and he cautiosly made his way over towards Cinko and the cookie.
"Is okays Chipper, I brings this cookie heres myself, it's all fors you!" he whispered to Chipper without making any sudden movements.

Having no luck finding Chipper by walking around the area of Palisade Point he decided to shift his efforts into laying out some cookie crumbs on the ground and see if the scent would attract Chipper to come and find him instead.

After hearing that the elusive Chipper had been spotted in the area around Palisade Point on the North East cliffs of Crater Lake.
He set off looking for Chipper, but didn't seem to be having too much luck finding him.
