Wage this evening asked if he could borrow some cash to "score some food" (I'm starting to worry who is teaching him all these phrases lately).
After I handed over 15 euro he then asked if he could use my laptop for a minute, so I moved aside and let him in - he typed in www.pizza.de and found the phone number of the local Joeys Pizza in Freiburg which does deliveries in the area of our hotel.
Out then came his little mobile phone and next thing he's on the phone, "Hi Joey, it's Wage and Babo here - we need pizza - now!!!"
When he came off the phone he told Babo that the pizza was on it's way and that he ordered some Fanta to go with it too.
Wage is definitely becoming extremely self sufficient (all-be-it still needing my cash and laptop) lately!!!

Uglyworld #273 - Don't Eat Coloured Snow (6/365)
365 Project - Image #6/365
I'm sure you're all more than aware of the phrase "Don't eat coloured snow", well this particular phrase was taken to a whole new level by a trio of colourful Ice-Bat's who decided to have some fun with the snow which is still lying all around Freiburg where I am for the next 2 weeks with work.
I must admit, when I first noticed what the 3 of them were giggling about I almost fell over laughing too (I think I snorted a few times due to the massive amount of laughter - yes I drew some weird looks from passers by as always).
After they were done and dusted with their fun and games they declared Orange Ice-Bat the winner due to him having produced the "deepest, widest, most colourful hole".

Uglyworld #272 - Ice-Bat To The Rescue (5/365)
365 Project - Image #5/365
With Wage screaming for help as he stood neck deep in the snow and me unable to help due to laughing my ass off at the little guys arms which were swinging about like clothes in a washing machine, it meant someone else would have to assist him.
Luckily big Ice-Bat had heard Wage's screaming and was already flying in to lend a hand. Wage held on tight to Ice-Bat's feet and with some fast flapping action Ice-Bat lifted Wage out of the deep snow and back to a section of the pavement which had been cleared.
As you can imagine Wage wasn't the happiest with me for laughing constantly and not helping him out of the snow, but once Ice-Bat explained to him how funny it looked from his perspective too he soon laughed too.

Uglyworld #271 - Help!!! (4/365)
With loads more snow having arrived in the last couple of days, Wage was wanting to get out into it and play.
It wasn't long before screams for "help!" were coming from where he had been playing, unfortunately I couldn't stop laughing at first when I found him like this.
Uglyworld #270 - Lindt Fioretto Choccies For Ice-Bat
Next up to find the plate of chocolates was Ice-Bat who decided that the Nougat style ones which Tray chose were only for girls and opted for some Lindt Fioretto which has a waffel centre and then loads of crispy chocolate around it.
Ice-Bat was sneaky enough to take them all before the others arrived and had to make do with the others which were left.
Uglyworld #269 - Tray's First To Find The Choccy
As I'm heading away to Freiburg this afternoon for the next two weeks the little guys were left a big bowl of chocolates on the table to share amongst themselves.
The first to notice that the choccies were there was Tray who decided to go for some Lindt Lindor "nougat" style ones.

Uglyworld #268 - Lasagne Feast for Ice-Bat (3/365)
Tonight we paid a visit to Mireille's mum and dad for dinner as I need to drive to Freiburg tonight (Sunday evening), and Ice-Bat was over the moon to find out that we had brought him back some Lasagne (he seems to go mental on the stuff - he says it gives him extra flying power).
You can see the look in his eyes and his teeth just waiting to tear into it for lunch...
Uglyworld #267 - Ready For A Snowball Fight
Today I was out in the garden trying to clear a path through the fresh layer of snow between the door and the street where my car was lying, and after I had cleared about half of it some of the little guys came outside to play in the snow.
I checked on them a few times, which Babo seemed to be a little bit annoyed about as he told me, "We can look after ourselves, we're not 2 year olds". I reminded him that Cinko was actually not even 2 years old yet which he conceded and promised to look after him.
As I walked back towards the driveway I was suddenly hit with snowball after snowball and I began to wonder where the hell they were all coming from, when I turned round all I could see was a flurry of snowballs coming from the direction of Babo with Wage, Cinko, Wedgehead and Ox rolling around in the snow in laughter beside him.
It turns out that the other 4 Uglies had made a huge stockpile of snowballs which Babo was able to scoop up quickly one after another and throw by making his arms spin round like "windmills" as he so elequently put it.
I asked him to pose for a picture which he kindly did (before pelting me with another 30-odd snowballs as I walked away - to the laughter of the others once again).
Uglyworld #266 - Ox And The Clove Of Garlic
Over the festive period we discovered that Ox loves food which contain Garlic, such as Garlic Bread, Pizza's and other such edibles. Myself and Mireille had been busy with getting the new years party food and bar sorted out at the local student bar that the little guys had to take somewhat of a back seat.
Wage ran down to the bar to get us (where we were busy tidying everything up from the Sylvester party - what New Year's Night is called in Germany) yesterday evening and told us we had to come with him quickly if we wanted to see something funny.
Naturally when Wage has ran so far and is completely out of breath we can't say no to him, so we grabbed him and ran to Mireille's apartment where we were told by Babo and Cinko to be very quiet (they were pointing in the direction of Mireille's table). I grabbed the camera and slowly got into position, from where I could see Ox standing looking at a big clove of garlic.
Within seconds of our arrival Ox lifted up the clove of garlic and licked it, immediately the clove was dropped back to the floor and he stood shaking his head and making massive rasperries with his tongue. After a few seconds he heard all of us laughing at him and got embarassed, but once we had shown him this photo later on he saw the funny side too.
Methinks that he will stick to having the garlic cooked in his food from now on too!

Uglyworld #265 - Happy New Hat
I tried to explain to Jeero what new year meant and everything that went with it, but he didn't quite understand (as you already know he appears to be missing a biscuit or two from the old cookie bin on the top shelf), so instead he has taken it upon himself to wish you a...
HAPPY NEW HAT
Yes, you heard that right, Happy New Hat, interpret it as you wish (at least he said it with enough gusto to make it seem at least semi-important).
As you can see in the background, Babo appears to be a little jealous of Jeero's new clothing - he keeps asking if he can touch it :D
Thanks again all, and I hope 2010 brings you and yours exactly what you wish for...
